Summary: There were a lot of things Rodney was anticipating when he made the trip through the wormhole to Atlantis. What he didn't count on were surprise Sentinels, gene mutations, space vampires, and a sentient city with her own ideas for how things should be.

A/N: Written for prompt #109. Sentinel!fusion. Rodney is John's guide. Preferably in Atlantis but AU works too. For the second straight year, I am late posting my prompt. Sigh. But only by a couple of hours, instead of a month, so progress? LOL! Unbeta'd and edited while half asleep, but hopefully not too much of a mess.

My knowledge of the whole Sentinel universe is really spotty, but you did a great job explaining it. I enjoyed seeing John through Rodney's eyes, the way their relationship progressed, and how Rodney's affection for John unfolded without him even realizing it. I liked Rodney's relationship with Carson, and it all seamlessly merged into canon (sort of) at the end.

Hands down my favorite line was the one were Rodney was sure they were all going to die because of feelings. Excellent writing :)
