That is beautiful! I also have one, unfinished, necklace project that kind of turned into a story in my head. I had these beautiful dark green beads, and dark brass coloured cogwheels and other charms, and somehow that became an AU where they find the Gate to Atlantis in a Mayan temple. John is a pilot of an airship, and Rodney a scientist who wants to uncover the secret of the temple :)

One day maybe when the piece is finished, I'll have to ask someone to write that story for me :D

Ohhhh I love that idea. Lucky for you there's going to be another Plot Bunny Dust-off challenge (http://melagan.livejournal.com/358297.html) in March. Maybe you'll get to finish it then. *g*

I'm grinning because I really want to read that story.

Looking forward to March then! ^_^ I am lucky indeed :)

And I really want to read that story too, but I dread writing it :D For one, because I don't know how to do steampunk or period pieces, and that would seem to be a story that requires it...
