Oh, dear, you made me get all watery & sniffley for poor John, feeling so alone & hating his hopeless fantasies but unable to give them up. (A stuffed-up muzzle this size is no laughing matter, so thank goodness for the happy ending. ;-)
It's fascinating to see how Rodney processes the new info about John that the Ancient device gives him, then the personal doubts & insights that result. Yay for Teyla finding a way to word her advice that actually clarifies things for Rodney, & for John having the grit & stubborn hope to hang on & endure the uncertainty, & for Rodney being an honorable guy with Jennifer when he sorts out his feelings, & to Ronon for his silent, accepting support. I wish we could learn more about memories they 'see', other than John's, but those are other fics for another day....
