Title: Home Boy
Prompt: Uh, no prompt, sliding in here under the wire.
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: None
Word count: 1480
Summary: Rodney gets engaged, gets dumped, flies around a bit, and then finds true love.
Author’s Notes: For the [livejournal.com profile] romancingmcshep fest. Didn’t think I could participate as work has been a fricking bitch lately, but managed to squeak in an idea.

*********************************

Rodney resigned himself to never understanding how he went from proposing to Jennifer at 8:04 pm, complete with champagne, Godiva chocolates, and a new bag of Cheetos, to being not only unengaged, but also single by 12:38 am. How did she go from being so happy that she’d begun crying when he’d handed her that little blue box that could only come from one place, to being so mad and hurt that she was sobbing when she kicked him out of her room. The phrase, “I never want to see you again” might have been uttered and not by him. All because he assumed that they would live on Atlantis. Forever. Because, duh, as he said to her in those exact words. Which were, unfortunately, precisely the wrong words. Read more... )

Title: I Pinky Swear [podfic] of the story by [livejournal.com profile] sheafrotherdon
Reader: [livejournal.com profile] librarychick_94
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Notes: Not for any particular prompt, but it is happy and romantic. Recorded specifically for Romancing McShep 2014.
Summary: The Bishra placed a high premium on kinship – on solidarity, responsibility, and sharing life's trials as well as joys. Which was why, John reasoned, it made complete sense that he and Rodney should pretend to be married.

Title: A Bug In Your Ear
Author:sgamadison
Rating: Mature
Pairing:McKay/Sheppard
Word count: 15,752
Warnings: You remember those bug scenes in the Indiana Jones movies? Yeah, that.
Summary: It was his worst nightmare. He was about to watch Rodney die trying to rescue him and there was nothing he could do about it.

A/N: It's [livejournal.com profile] romancingmcshep, so you know the ending is a happy one! The idea came from an old ST:TOS fanfic I read many years ago in which Nurse Chapel was staked out in a snake pit and Spock had to rescue her without either one getting bitten. Oh, yeah, and they were both naked. :-) I took it off to Pegasus from there, stuffing in as many movie and television references as I possibly could. It wasn't supposed be this long and I was writing it up to the very last minute of posting, so no beta. All mistakes are my own. It was too long for LJ, so I posted to AO3.
