Cafuné (Brazilian Portuguese): The act of tenderly running your fingers through someone's hair.

John and Rodney might not know the word, but I wager they know exactly what it means. ;)

I love it how different languages have words that express so much. (and recently mentions of hair just remind me of Blair :D Hmm, I bet he knows the word... *me thinks I saw a plot bunny*)

If there's one word from Finnish I'd love to be able to use, (even if it doesn't necessarily sound so pretty) it's hämärä (http://www.wordsense.eu/h%C3%A4m%C3%A4r%C3%A4/), which can mean anything from dimly lit or twilight to shady and mysterious. I often have trouble describing lighting situations in English :D (though I love the word 'murky' for some reason)

I know what you mean, sometimes there just isn't the right word for what you need.

Making these posts have been fun because I've stumbled on some of the most interesting things.
