You know, just as writers sometimes have their stories go in a completely different direction than imagined, so does my work. For me, John and Rodney always have a happy ending. But as I was finishing this, I realized that it could seem sad or bittersweet, so I didn’t add all the words that I had intended for it so as to leave it open to interpretation.
Very nice! I like the dream-like effect of the background and the couple in contrast with John in the foreground. Great choice of colours - and the title makes it even a bit bitter-sweet.
